摘要 <p>Gas laser of magnetically polarised tubular design is compact, rigid and has a long life span. It consists of three laser subsystems which are each separately tested. The subsystems are formed by a suction stem which contains the cathode conductors and getter, the cathode casing (17) with a cathode and a laser capillary with an anode and end piece, such as mirrors, booster windows etc. The permanent magnetic field is applied to the capillary and is intended to polarise the light emitted by the capillary. The laser element is rotated inside of the magnetic field until the field is parallel to the maximum direction for polarised light that is emitted. This is used to orientate the laser element inside the magnetic field. There are two magnets each with a field at a right angles to the longitudinal axis of the capillary.</p>
