Copying machine with reference piece and workpiece - has tuning and movable supports for converting rotation of reference piece into reciprocation of tool

The machine has a timing support, on which are fitted a reference form piece and the workpiece. There is also a movable support with a stop which is pressed continuously against the reference form piece. Consequently the rotary motion of the reference form piece is converted into a reciprocation of the movable support, to which is fitted a cutting tool for machining the workpiece. The copying machine is used to produce the reference piece. At the rotating support (2) of the machine, the workpiece (5) is replaced by a sample (5') or model of the workpiece. The reference piece (6) is replaced by a blank (6') of the reference piece (6). On the movable support (8) of the machine, the stop (5) is replaced by a timing tool (16).
