<p>Grain collector for combine harvester omprises a feeder for conducting the chaff and threshed ears in a continuous stream towards an inlet of a sloping vibrating plate with its outlet higher than its inlet. The plte has parallel longitudinal grooves with toothed projecting edges actuated discontinuously by the drive means to cause advance of the stream towards an ejection orifice. Above the plate is a transverse horizontal rotary lifting drum with retractable radial projections which protrude on the inlet side of the plate and are retracted on the outlet side. The drum wall has a polygonal cross-section with the apices forming longitudinal ridges, and each projection is mounted slidably in a pivot point disposed on one of the ridges.</p> |
