<p>The chute is preferably rectangular to take objects of a variety of shapes. The decelerator consists of a plate (3) which is sized to block the chute off completely. The plate is hinged along one edge by means of a bar (4) which passes through the bosses (5) fixed to the plate. The hinge is extended at either one or both ends and the extension carries a counterweight (7) on a bearing arm (6). The counterweight may be moved along the bar. An inspection door (10) allows the clearing of objects jammed in the decelerator, and roller bearings (5) enable the plate to tip easily.</p> |
