The composite solenoid valve operates several functions in a brake system by a single coil which can be energized in two stages. When without current the individual valves are in such positions that the front wheel and rear wheel brake cylinders are connected with the master cylinder, and the low pressure chamber is closed by an individual valve. The rear wheel brake cylinders then receive pressure in a delayed action due to the valve which in this case operates as a non return valve. In the case of an impending wheel blocking condition, the coil receives current from a sensor-activated electronic instrument and becomes energised up to the first stage. The armature is drawn inwards and operates valves in an opening or closing movement. During the closing a plug lifts off against the force of springs.
|
