The electric fitter consists of a number of dust collecting electrodes at a distance from each other to form gaps parallel to the gas flow. Discharge electrodes are fitted in the gaps and between the discharge electrodes are spray nozzles, on top of the collecting electrodes. The edges of the collecting electrodes facing the gas flow have deflecting strips (2) which extend over the entire height, and in the shape of semi circles and are applied in pairs on the front edge of the collecting electrodes. An additional spray can be fitted in the form of tubes (3) with a series of holes.
