A turnover device for doughnuts and other pastry which is fried in fat consists of a line of concave sheet metal turning slats. The slats are hinged at a point near their centre around which they can be turned by a common linkage. The frame carrying them can be lifted out the frying fat. Device is compact and the doughnuts can be turned over as many times as is required. The risk of spattering fat is eliminated.
