<p>The pouring spout can be of paper or cardboard but is pref. of plastics. This spout is used for pouring e.g. milk, cocoa or fruit juices from rectangular or tetrahedral containers made from special paper or cardboard. The drinking spout ensures that the container is readily opened. The spout is a half cylindrical shell (1) which has an end with two cutting edges (2, 3). A transverse wall (5) is provided with an opening (6) in the transition region between the cutting edges (2, 3) and the half cylindrical shell. Radial guide rib (7) can be arranged behind the transverse wall (5). This guide rib (7) has sloping edge (8) so that the rib narrows towards the transverse wall. The transverse wall has a notch for inserting a drinking straw.</p> |
