Extending steps for bus - has hydraulic parallelogram mechanism mounted inside door to lift flush with floor when travelling

The bus access has a set of folding steps (1, 2, 3) inside the door and linked to a single operating ram. When not in use the steps are folded upwards to form an extensions of the floor of the bus and thus do not protrude from the vehicle. The step mechanism is protected from the weather for long life. by not protruding from the contours of the vehicle they do not constitute a hazard for passengers waiting at bus stops. The step width can be increased to ease access, without altering the outside width of the bus.
