The blood-sampling instrument comprises a cylinder closed at one end, sliding in which is a sealed piston with a drilling through it. A tubular rod is attached to the piston, and handles are provided on the end of the rod protruding from the cylinder, together with a union for a sampling needle. The bore (6) of the tubular piston rod (2) tapers from the piston (4) to the union (7). The design reduces the tendency to foaming of the blood when drawn off, and consequently reduces the damage to the red corpuscles. |
