Spindle valve for compressed gas flow - has coaxial expansion bushes between bearing plate and seat ring to reduce decompression noise

The shut off spindle valve has the valve piston and valve seat axis perpendicular to the flow direction. A number of coaxial expansion bushes (50) are located between the spindle bearing plate (21) and the valve seat ring (33). They form a cylinder housing for the valve piston (34). In order to reduce the decompression noise which occurs when the medium flows through the valve, the piston bushes (50) have radial expansion holes (75) which produce a controlled pressure drop. The hole centres and diameters (75) are offset in order to produce a labyrinth for the expanding medium flow.
