The automatic seat belt winding-on mechanism allows loosening of the webbing on the body after it has been put on and at the same time providing automatic uptake of loose webbing, when the seat belt is taken off. Before putting on the belt, the user pulls the webbing from its wound-on state. After this an additional adjustment of the webbing tautness on the user's body is possible by further pulling out the webbing (2). When the pulling force on the webbing is released, the force of a spiral spring fitted in the housing causes a shaft (3) to rotate for uptake. During this rotation, blocking arms (9) engage into the recesses (11) with a toothed wheel (8) stopping further rotation. The webbing stays in the condition over the body in which it has been pulled out.
|
