The urethro-cystoscopy and cytometry appts. uses a catheter introducing carbon dioxide gas into the urinary passage and bladder of a patient. In the gas pipe inside the appts. housing, leading from the gas bottle to the catheter union, there are mounted, in succession, a meter indicating the quantity of carbon dioxide gas left in the bottle, fixed and adjustable press. reducing valves, a gas flow monitoring unit to which electrical indicators are connected for the flow quantity per time unit and total flow, a safety valve, a flow control valve and a stop valve. A press. gauge with inductive emitter shows the actual press. and is suitable for connection to a compensation-type recorder.
