1486723 Crank-shaft bearings in engines TATRA NARODNI PODNIK 20 Jan 1975 [24 Jan 1974] 2376/75 Heading FIB An engine crank-shaft 10 is supported by radial bearings 11 attached to a crank-case 2 and thrust bearings 8 formed on a crank-case end wall 1. A flywheel (not shown) is mounted on the crankshaft 10 at the right hand end of the drawing so that axial forces may be transmitted from the flywheel to the thrust bearings 8 by means of a wheel 5 driving a cam-shaft (not shown). A thrust ring 4 may be interposed between the wheel 5 and thrust bearings 8. Lubricant is supplied to a space 6 for the thrust bearings 8 from an oilway 3 which also cooperates with an oilway 7 in the crank-shaft, through which oil is supplied to the radial bearings 11.
|
