In use, for aspirating solution from wells 55 in tray 54 and washing the wells and balls 47, the device is lowered so that the nozzle members enter the wells and wash liquid is introduced at 26 for flow through passages 46, 36 and out over the outer surface of the nozzle into well 55, while vacuum is applied by 25 to produce reduced pressure in passages 23, 30 to draw ball 47 into orifice 45, and hold it against positioning means 50 out of contact with the wall surface 41. |
