<p>1486789 Carbon blacks toned with dye lakes DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 4 Nov 1974 [8 Nov 1973] 47563/74 Heading C4A A carbon black toned with a dye lake of an organic dye is prepared by dispersing the carbon black in an aqueous solution containing the dye and aluminium sulphate, subsequently successively adding soda waterglass and sodium molybdate to the dispersion with stirring, and drying the toned carbon black following separation from the liquid phase. A dye lake of an organic dye is a salt or complex compound, which is insoluble or difficultly soluble in water, of a dye which is itself water-soluble. In the examples, the carbon black is gas black or furnace black and the dyes are methyl violet, crystal violet and Victoria blue.</p> |
