PURPOSE:To surely prevent the constriction of root with a cover and the resultant deformed growth of a crop by boring a culture medium-setting hole through a lid covering the surface of a culture liquid and fitting a step of the medium to the step of the hole. CONSTITUTION:A hole 3 having a step 3a to get a large opening area at the top of the hole and a small area at the bottom is bored through a lid 1 covering a nutrient liquid part of a culture vessel. Separately, a culture medium 2 is provided with a step 2a fitting to the above step 3a and with a hole 4 for the positioning of a seed. The medium 2 holding a seed 5 in the positioning hole 4 is inserted into the hole 3 of the lid 1 and the hydroponic culture is carried out keeping the seed 5 above the upper surface of the lid 1. |
