<p>1470072 Shoots SVENSKAFLAKTFABRIKEN AB 16 May 1974 [21 May 1973] 21787/74 Heading B8S A dumping structure, for refuse or laundry, includes a shoot 2 directed obliquely downwards and opening into a substantially vertical dumping shaft 1, being fitted with a gate 7, coinciding in shape with the inner wall of the shaft 1, pivoted at its upper margin about a substantially horizontal axis 8 substantially closing the shoot outlet in the rest position and capable of swinging into the dumping shaft 1 under the influence of a bag of dumped goods 5. The upper margin of the gate 7 overlaps on the outside of the shaft 1 the adjacent edge of the opening into the shaft 1 and the lower margin of the gate 7 overlaps on the inside of the shaft 1 the adjacent edge of the opening into the shaft. As shown the gate 7 is held locked in the closed position by an electromagnetically operated pawl 12 until disengaged by pressing a button 13. Access to the shoot 2 is through a door 4. The shoot doors 2 are generally interlocked electromagnetically to permit only one door 2 to be opened at a time to prevent two or more bags of goods 5 being dumped simultaneously and possibly causing collisions and jamming in the shaft 1.</p> |
