The road surface stud (1) consists of a shaft (2) and a head (3). The shaft is hollow and takes a screw for screwing it down into the ground. The outer surface of the shaft (2) has slits (4) and grooves which extend along the length of the shaft. The head (3) has protuberances (6) positioned radially over its top surface, and providing anti-skid properties. The centre of the head (3) has a plug (7) hiding the top of the screw embedded in the shaft (2). The plug is a truncated pyramid or cylinder shape. The underneath (9) of the head has protruding pieces (10) preventing the stud from rotating on its centre axis. The top surface (11) of the head (3) has V-shaped protuberances.
|
