<p>Parent patent described the prepn. of 11-nitro vincamine by nitrating vincamine. In this addn., the 9-nitrovincamine (II) by-produce is reduced to form 9-aminovincamine (III). (+), (-) and (plus-or-minus) (III) and their addn. salts and acetylated derivs. are new. (III) is a cerebral circulation regulator. In an example the mother liquors from the prepn. of (+) 11-nitrovincamine were fractionally crystallised to give (+) 9-nitrovincamine m.pt. 199-200 degrees C 3.5g of this was hydrogenated in methanol using palladised charcoal to give 2.9g (+) 9-aminovincamine, m.pt. 195-200 degrees C.</p> |
