Device for the transport of cathode plates at regular-intervals on a conveyor chain which moves stepwise and stops at prescribed stripping stations in which at the front part of each station, a main holding unit is located alongside the conveyor, and is connected to the conveyor, and this holding unit can be swivelled into the path taken by the cathodes. Alongside the rear part of each station is an auxiliary holding unit and this holder can also be swung into the path. Sensors are used to detect the presence of an object before its arrival in each station and to actuate the main holders. Two sensors are pref. used for each station and control the conveyor movement. |
