Coal plough haulage chain guide screwed to the rear of the pans forming the conveyor line has two superimposed channels for the chain strands which have chain tracks, made or faced with sound damping material in the case of the upper strand track. The sound-damping track (20, 21) is equipped with non-abrading high elasticity and self-extinguishing rubber (27, 28) and supports the chain strand right along each of the several conveyor pans. The rubber parts extend between pans to gaps which interrupt the chain tracks. The tracks are mounted on strips (12) which limit the chain channels forming the guide arrangement. Pref. the strip (12) should form the partition between the chain channels, be rectangular in section and have a steel section inlay to carry the rubber clads (27, 28) on opposite sides and an extension along one rim for parts (13) of the chain guide system.
