<p>The sealing cap is of elastic material, being for use with bottles with beaded mouth edges, and particularly for those subject to internal pressure. It has an edge engaging under the bead, and an opening lug by which it is pulled off the bottle. A notch (8) is formed in this edge (4) at two points on either side of the lug (6) and distant in the peripheral direction. The notches can be diametrally opposite each other, the line joining them running at right angles to the lug centre line. They can at least partly interrupt the edge in the radial direction, and/or parallel to the lengthwise axis of the cap.</p> |
