In an installation for the prodn. of a continuous foam block, having a vessel from which the reactive mixt. overflows on to an inclined, curved or similar foaming track, followed by a horizontal setting track, with edge guides; the overflow trough and the foaming track are adjustable in width, whilst the edge guides can also be moved to suit the altered width of the track. The inclination of the foaming track can also be (partly) adjusted, and the spacing between the setting track and the overflow trough can also be varied. If required, the curvature of the foaming track along with the relative height of the overflow trough can also be altered. the latter has walls of flexible material such as rubber secured to a rigid construction in two halves telescoping one into the other. the foaming track consists of >=2 conveyors, each of which has >=2 intermeshing comb segments displaceable relative to each other. The width of the prodn. can be altered during mfr. the overflow trough and the foaming track being adjustable together with the edge guides.
