The edge stone is used in conjunction with a composite paving area assembled from paving stones, where the pattern is based either on a single regular hexagon, or two or more regular hexagons laid in a row, and where it is normally difficult to combine the functions of providing straight edges and holding the paving stones together. Here the edge area (2) is formed by half of an evenly divided hexagon, with at least one complete hexagonal area (5) adjoining the side of the edge area which is parallel to the dividing line (3). The hexagonal basic pattern is preserved, with hexagons simple halved for the peripheral areas, with a less disturbing effect on the overall pattern, and with the edge stones fully integrated into the interlocking systems.
|
