<p>Cealning system for rectangular setting ponds consists of a mobile carriage above the liquor surface from which are suspended >=2 carrier arms. One carries a scraper extending to the base to remove sludge on the base. The other has a scraper to remove slum on the surface. The arm to the base cleaner has two sections, rigidly joined together. The upper part is angled w. r. t. the lower part and is located above the liquor surface. The arm is pivotted on a horizontal axis at the point where the two sections meet. The section above the surface can be pulled back to raise the base cleaner above the liquor surface. In the operational position it is finally held in a mounting to ensure a rigid operation of the cleaner. The cleaner is of use on rectangular ponds and permits maintenance of the dredging element without having to empty pond.</p> |
