A toy single-shot air pistol comprises assembled together (A) body 1, barrel 2 and trigger 3 made integrally from resilient plastics material, (B) a bolt comprising piston 4, piston rod 5 (C) an elastic band 7, and (D) a projectile 8. The bolt is inserted in a slot 12 in the body and is held in position by the slot edge 13 abutting between ribs 15, 16 on the bolt and by a lug 17 engaging the trigger end 18. The elastic band 7 extends from recesses 20, 21 to the end of the bolt. A connecting web 19 between the trigger 3 and the body 1 enables the trigger to be released and end 18 to disengage from lug 17 so that the bolt is released. The elastic band 7 may be replaced by a tension spring or by a compression spring. |
