The tubular demountable shelving frame-work is built up from combinations of three modular components. The ladder frame (1) is rectangular in plan with the rungs (4) parallel to the bar (3) of the 'H'. The terminal rung (6), may be of inverted rectangular channel section. The channel section houses the bar (13) of the socket type 'H' frame (11). A shelving system is thus erected by coupling a ladder frame (1) to a socket type 'H' frame (11). Spigot type 'H' frames (3) are then used to extend the posts vertically when a subsequent ladder frame (1) and socket type 'H' (11) are installed.
