<p>The machine, for cutting edge strips for projecting surface coatings incorporates a scanner roller coming into contact with the surface to be worked, and a cutting tool with its setting on the workpiece controlled by this. It is designed to cope with surface irregularities and adapt itself to cut a clean chamfered edge. There are two scanner rollers (4, 10) for one cutting appliance (6), both coming into contact with different surfaces of the workpiece (1) at the same time. One is responsible for vertical adjustment of the appliance, and the other for horizontal adjustment. One roller (10) may be on a flying mounting in a cassette (11), pref. fitting against the surface under spring tension (25), with adjusting and fixing screws (12, 13) for positioning.</p> |
