Recooling pond for cooling water - has spray heads submerged for protection against icing during rest periods

The cooling water recooling system has a cooling pond and several spray units. The spray units are connected to supply lines and have at their upper ends spray heads. The spray units are protected against icing on part load operation or on intermittent operation in cold weather. The supply lines (3) are situated below the water surface of the cooling pond. The spray heads (1) if necessary, together with the supply lines (3) are retracted during operation interruption also below the water surface of the pond. The spray heads project above the water surface only during the operation. The spray units (1) have telescopic longitudinally sliding tubes (8, 9). Alternatively the spray units (1) can consist of bellows shaped arrangements connected to spray nozzles (2). The spray units can consist also of pivoted tubes.
