Reciprocating linear guide for wire coiling machine - is coupled to drive ribbon by toggle clamps

A wire coiling machine has a linear guide which is operated by an endless drive ribbon (1). The ribbon (1) has two parallel sections which run in opposite directions. The wire guide is a plate (2) located between two rails by four rollers. A spring loaded toggle lever (11, 12) provides the clamping force with which the guide assembly is coupled to one or the other of the drive ribbon sections. A secondary toggle assembly (13) is linked to the primary toggle in order to obtain the instantaneous change over of the ribbon clamp in the two end positions. A roller lever (8) on the primary toggle is actuated when the wire guide arrives at either one of the end positions (7, 18).
