<p>Process for coating chipboard with different materials is performed by applying a suitable glue to the rought cut side of a chipboard panel which is coated on both sides with the same material, then adhering a coating by any material to the glue. Pref. the chipboard panel is coated on both sides with plastic material, then a wood veneer is adhered to one of the plastic coatings. The resulting chipboard is partic. suitable for kitchen cupboards. By not applying the glue directly to the chipboard, the latter cannot become warped. By using a conventional PVAc glue which is applied thinly, the glue does not penetrate e.g. a thin wood veneer coating, although the roughened plastic coating is impermeable to the glue.</p> |
