The flight simulator in an aircraft system, for fixing bearing approaches or blind flying on instruments uses a mechanically coupled gyroscope and radio compass. The display disc of the gyroscope compass is coupled to a spur gear located directly below. The gear transmits motion over an intermediate gear to a similar gear attached to the shaft of a radio compass. Adjusting knobs allow setting of a bearing to be made such that motion of either the gyroscope compass or the radio compass produces motion in the other.
