The sound-insulating floor structure is esp. suitable for ships' decks. It is laid on a skeleton unit, with a load bearing panel of 50 kg/m2 max. specific weight, lying with elastic underlays and no rigid connection on a limited number of skeleton supports under no more than 3% of its area, with an intervening 5 cm air-filled space. The resilient characteristics of the elastic underlays (5) are adapted to the panel specific weight, to obtain an inherent frequency of max. 40 Hz. The panel underside is fitted with stiffening elements (6) and for a material effect on the actual inherent frequency through the air underneath. The panel may comprise a corrugated sheet layer (6) and one or more panel layers (7, 8) rigidly fixed on top, with the channels lying on the elastic underlays.
|
