Wind driven electrical power generator - has side passages round wheel to divert excess wind forces for stability

The generator has an outer cylinder (1) which guides the wind air stream onto a three bladed propeller wheel. The cylinder has two side channels (2) which entrain a portion of the air stream and guide it over a short inner cylinder (5). This inner cylinder overlaps the outer edges of the impeller blades. The side passages absorb wind gusts and variations in wind force. They also guide the air back into the main stream where it has an injection effect on the flow through the propeller which improves the efficiency of the latter. Within the side channels (2) there are spring loaded blades (3) which absorb excess forces at near gale force winds.
