1328168 Pyrolysis of amidocarboxylic acid SNAM PROGETTI SpA 1 July 1971 [2 July 1970] 30974/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises the pyrolysis of a metal salt of an amidocarboxylic acid of the formula wherein R is an optionally substituted and/or unsaturated hydrocarbon radical, n is integer from 2 to 15, and recovering and separating the products. The pyrolysis is suitably carried out at a temperature of from 300‹ to 500‹ C. and a pressure less than atmospheric. An example describes the pyrolysis of the sodium salt of #-cyclohexyl amidocaproic acid to give ecaprolactam, dicyclohexylketone and cyclohexyl cyanide. |
