Controlled-dose turret-fired thermonuclear reactor comprises a frame mounted primary water boiler on which is rotatably mounted an ignition-chamber turret so that the ignition channel of slide-in units for the turret is coaxial with the inlet valve of the boiler. The slide-in units are automatically loaded and ejected. Two two-stroke pumps are mounted slidably in ring mounts attached to the boiler, parallel to the boiler axis, with pneumatic cylinders for braking recoil of the pump barrels after firing, and with recuperator collar plates. The reactor allows the continuous process of generating heat of combination to be replaced quasi-continuously by a cyclic process.
