Vacuum leak indicator for storage vessels - has vacuum switch controlling ejector exhausting monitoring chamber and compressor outside danger area

Indicator is for storage vessels with a monitoring chamber, particulary those containing explosive liquids. An ejector is connected to the monitoring chamber, and is controlled by switchgear actuated by the chamber pressure, and an optical and/or acoustic alarm is also provided. A measuring unit (5) is mounted in the danger area, and has an air-operated ejector (8) connected by an exhauster pipe (9) to the chamber (2). A non-return valve (10) for explosive vapours is mounted in the pipe, and a vacuum switch (11) is connected via a measuring pipe (18) to the chamber, and controls the ejector. Outside the danger area is a unit with a compressor (24) supplying the ejector also pressure gauges and alarm equipment.
