<p>The hydrant is esp. for installation in a wall, with a jacket pipe extending through the wall, and carrying a valve housing for a valve cone on the inside of the wall. The valve cone is displaceable in the axial direction of the pipe together with an externally actuated spindle. The spindle nut is formed as a sealing plug, sealing the jacket pipe on the outside, and positioned in a housing part with an outlet. The housing part has a recess co-axial to the spindle on the inside of the plug. The recess has merging sections of different diameters. Ventilation and drainage channels open into these merging sections. The spindle has a radial flange, the dia. of which corresponds to that the smaller section. With a closing movement of the spindle, the flange frees the channels, after the valve has closed.</p> |
