The lamp dynamo circuits for a bicycle, also includes a battery so that the front and rear lights of the bicycle remain on while he is stationary. Both the dynamo driven by the cycle wheel and the battery which may be of the dry cell standard type are connected via separate diodes (5, 6) to the front and rear lamps (11, 12). A switch connects the battery diode to the lamps when the cycle is stationary. The switch is manual (e.g a key can be used to operate it). All the components can be located in the same housing that contains the dynamo.
