<p>1485572 Coating apparatus; mixing apparatus KOVERHAR AB OY 13 June 1975 [13 June 1974 (2)] 25407/75 Headings B1C and B2L Apparatus for coating surfaces by spraying, and particularly for coating chill moulds with lime liquor comprises a mixing tank 1 Fig. 1 with means, e.g. pump mixer 2 (or additionally a pump at 4) to supply the coating material to an intermediate tank 5. An air-supply opening 9 provides for aeration of the material. The impeller also mixes the material. Excess liquor is returned via an overflow 6 and chutes 7, 8 to the tank 1. The liquor is pumped by spray pumps 10 from tank 5 to the interior of a chill mould or moulds 11. The pumps operate with air at a pressure of 6 bars supplied via electromagnetic valves controlled with the casting machine. Excess liquor is purified in a basin 15 before return to the tank 1. The mixer 2 has an impeller 16 located in a tunnel or duct 18 which includes a closure plate 19 Fig. 2. Liquor is fed in via a pipe 3.</p> |
