<p>1439752 Organotin compounds as stabilizers ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 10 May 1973 [10 May 1972 (2)] 21828/72 and 21829/72 Heading C3P [Also in Division C2] A halogenated resin, particularly PVC, is stabilized by incorporation therein of an organotin compound containing a group, which compound is prepared by reacting R 1 R 2 SnO or R 1 R 2 SnHal 2 with an intermediate produced by reaction of pentaerythritol or a triol (HOCH 2 ) 3 CR 7 with maleic acid and one or more blocking agents where R 1 and R 2 are cycloalkyl, phenyl or C 1-20 alkyl, Hal is halogen R 7 is H or C 1-6 alkyl. The resin composition may also include monobutyltin tris(iso-octyl thioglycollate), diorganotin cyclic mercaptocarboxylates, plasticizers, hindered phenols, phosphites, thiophosphites, epoxides or metal soap stabilizers.
