<p>1393639 Liquid shampoo PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 13 Nov 1973 [13 Nov 1972] 52589/73 Heading C5D A mild shampoo consists of (by wt.): (A) 2 to 20% of polyoxyethylene (5-50) fatty acid ester wherein the fatty acid moiety contains 8 to 18 C atoms, (B) 3 to 25% of a water-soluble C 8 -C 18 alkyl sulphate, (C) 1 to 10% triethanolamine C 10 -C 18 fatty acid soap, (D) 0À5 to 5% C 8 -C 16 fatty acid ethanolamide and (E) 40- 90% of water. Preferably, (A) is polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monolaurate, (B) is a sodium or triethanolamine salt, (C) is a coconut fatty acid soap and (D) is a coconut monoethanolamide. The ratio of (A) to total surfactants (B), (C) and (D) is 1 : 1 to 1 : 5. Optional ingredients are sodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate, methyl cellulose and sodium sulphite. The pH is 7À0 to 8À4.</p> |
