A metal strip (14) is covered by a layer (26) of self-adhesive, sound-absorbing, viscoelastic plastic. Then a second metal strip (15) having a thickness different from the strip (14) is applied onto the layer (26) of plastic and the composite material web (10) thus formed is wound to form a roll. The entire thickness of this three-layer material is no more than 2 mm. If desired, before rolling up, a coating layer (27) can be applied on one side of the composite material web (10). On a side, having no coating, of the composite material web (10) a second layer of a self-adhesive plastic (26) can be applied and be covered by a removable protective layer (23). A strip-shaped, vibration-absorbing laminated body is thus formed. <IMAGE> |
