The box for electronic components, has expanding plastic corner pieces (6) locating in the recesses of the corners of the box. The box is made by cutting channels into a sheet and then folding the sheet along these channels to form a rectangle. The channels remain as recesses on the insides of the box's corners. The plastic corner pieces are shaped to conform to the shape of the recesses and have flaps (7, 8) that rest against the inside surface of the flat walls of the box. The corner pieces are held in place either by clamps or by adhesive. The advantage lies in the speed with which the box can be assembled.
