Kerosene purifying circuit for electrical windings - has evaporating and separating tanks with evaporation compensation and filters

An installation for drying and cleaning the windings of transformers, solenoids, etc., using kerosene, has a set of storage tanks (2) connected to a heat exchanger (9) which receives the contaminated kerosene, or connected directly to a main evaporating and preheating tank (1). After evaporation, the vapourised part then passes to a heated separating tank (4). This is followed by a main condenser (21) where the product is cooled to a warm liquid, filtered and passed to an evaporator (24). A pump (25) then returns the liquid to the storage tanks (2). The hot condensate in the bottom of the separator tank (4) is returned to a separator (6). The heating tank (1) can be fitted with level monitors (3) to compensate for evaporation, and has a valve (8) for discharge of contaminated liquid to the heat exchanger (9).
