Speed control for dental tool - uses flexible element in handle to control back pressure operating on pressure sensitive element to regulate speed

The dental tool speed control system includes the tool (10) held by the dentist with a working head (12) and a long flexible chamber (23). A portion (11) of the exposed part of the chamber (23) is gripped in the hand so as to reduce the transversal section of the chamber. The chamber has an input which communicates with a gas supply pipe (15) and pressure sensitive element (21). Hand pressure on the flexible part of the tool handle obstructs the flow of gas to the head thus increasing the pressure on the pressure sensitive element (21). The element (21) moves and opens the supply valve increasing the flow of gas to the main gas supply pipe (15).
