<p>Tyres are packaged in gps. by stacking the tyres axially and enclosing the tyres in a flexible elastic cord or mesh harness pulled tight with internal drawstrings. The enclosing cords are distributed uniformly around the stack of tyres. The stack is pre-compressed axially, the harness fitted closely, and the stack released to hold the harness taught, pref. with at least some of the harness cords locating in the troughs of the tyre outline profiles. Involves less space and weight than use of conventional crates and adapts to fit stack involving groups of tyres of slightly different sizes or overall dimensions.</p> |
