<p>The process produces artificially-aged tiles, the extruded blanks of which (3, 4) are subjected to mechanical scratching between the outlet from the die and the cutting tool. This produces superficial and irregular grooves. The scratching can be carried out over the entire tile blank surface, and in non-straight lines, typically by means of a steel wire brush (7) rocking to and for on an axis, and driven by a crank mechanism (10, 12). The frame on which the brushes are mounted (5) can slide to and fro in a direction parallel to that in which the blanks are extruded, the brushes having forks working with fixed components (9).</p> |
