<p>A shopping trolley is made of a single tube bent into an U shape, the loop (11) of the U forming the handle, and has an axle across the bottom for the two wheels (21). The extremities (18) of the tube are bent into a D shape (20) extending forwards, and a flexible bag is suspended from the tube. Each D shaped portion (20) is spanned by a coil spring (24) to form a suspension system. Each end of the spring is attached to an adaptor block (25) which has a forked portion, each extremity of the fork being bent over so that it clips into the tube. This enables it to act also as a pivot. Alternative spring fastening designs include an adaptor sleeve with fits telescopically inside the other, housing the spring.</p> |
